The appointment of 23 March between Italy and England in Naples for the qualifications for the next ones European 2024 is awaited with great anticipation by the fans of both teams. The event reserves some surprises that will disappoint citizens.

Gigi D'Alessio will not sing the anthem

It was originally planned to perform Gigi D'Alessio, which should have paid homage to the Azzurri by performing the anthem of Mameli before the game. Apparently, however, the FIGC did not make any request in this regard and the performance of the Neapolitan singer was railing. The Federation has invited D'Alessio to take part still at the event as a fan.

Also another cancellation. The proposal to create the “Casa Azzurri Village” on the seafront of Naples in view of the football match between Italy and England on March 23rd canceled. The idea had been presented by the Federcalcio to the Municipality of Naples at the end of February and had received the favorable opinion of the mayor Gaetano Manfredi.

The no is triggered by FIGC communicated that “there are no technical times” to carry out the event, thus canceling the creation of the village.
