Saturday 17 December, in addition to the canonical visit to the Museum of the Treasure of San Gennaro, there will also beextraordinary evening opening at the Real Cappella del Tesoro which will allow us to admire one of the most incredible treasures in the world, second only to the English Crown.

The guides Matteo Borriello and Marina Minniti will accompany us on this dramatized journey together with the actors Mario Di Fonzo and Mariachiara Falcone who will stage a show written by Febo Quercia. As mentioned, in December the miracle of San Gennaro takes place for the third time in the year and on the occasion of this event, Januaria will let us discover the priceless treasure.

The theatrical visit takes place in a time frame of about 700 years and brings to light historical testimonies and legends linked to the Saint's precious jewels, such as the famous jeweled miter created by the goldsmith Matteo Treglia. It consists of well 3694 precious stones and was commissioned in 1713 by the Deputation of San Gennaro. There is also the gold and silver necklace, made by Michele Dato in 1679 which, until 1879, continued to be enriched with many precious stones donated by rulers from all over Europe. Finally, there are the gifts delivered to the Saint by Napoleon, from Pope Pius IX, from King Umberto I and Margherita of Savoy.

In the halls of the show we will meet Eusebia Januario, played by Mariachiara Falcone, a relative of San Gennaro and descendant of the one who kept the blood in the ampoules. There will also be Giuseppe Navarra (Mario Di Fonzo), called the King of Poggioreale, famous for having recovered from the city of Naples the treasure kept in the Vatican during the Second World War and made famous by the film Operazione San Gennaro.
