The long line of the valets, mandolins and tammorre in Naples

The largest gathering of "parking attendants" in the streets of the historic center of Naples, with mandolins, guitars and tammorre

Tomorrow, Saturday October 19 2013, For streets of the historic center of Napoli will attend a very special and not to be missed traveling show. The largest will be held meeting of "parking attendants", organized by the Mastro Masiello Mandolino Association in collaboration with the Body Association of Naples.

The event, entitled Things from Guinness of the Primates, will consist of one long march of mandolins, tammorre and guitars, made by hundreds of Neapolitan musicians from all over Campania who will parade through the streets of the city performing the most famous arias and romances of popular and classical Neapolitan music, and making stops in the main squares: San Domenico Maggiore, Piazzetta Nilo, Largo degli Olmi, Piazza dei Girolamini, Piazza San Gaetano, where the rhythmic rhythm of the "tammorre" will accompany some moments of reflection dedicated to refugees and migrants, victims of the sea of the present and the past.

The aim of the initiative is to revaluate the ancient center of Naples, considered a UNESCO World Heritage Site, but which is in conditions of severe environmental degradation and artistic and cultural decay.

Salvatore Masiello, patron of the Mastro Masiello Mandolino Association explained:

“We strongly wanted this event because we still believe in the possible rebirth of this piece of Naples so full of history and stories; of churches that have hosted Saints and Kings, of alleys, squares, palaces and oratories that have seen popular revolutions pass and have produced great musical geniuses. Naples is mirrored in its Old Center and the degradation of the Old Center must be stopped to stop the decline of an entire city. We have only one weapon, perhaps the most powerful to give a signal of Hope; that of the music and on Saturday we will fight with this non-lethal weapon to bring a message of Hope to the many young people without work and no more future but also a smile to those who have long been waiting for Neapolitanism to return to flow through the ancient city arteries and also to the many tourists that this face of Naples, the cheerful one but with a cultural background that the whole world envies us, they want to find "

The President of the Naples Body Association Gabriele Casillo hopes that the Guinness World Records event will open the door for tourists and citizens to the 141 ^ Decumani Christmas Fair, still not scheduled among the Neapolitan Christmas events and for which there is less than a month. In this regard, he appeals to the Municipality of Naples to start the practical procedures for the initiative and resume collaboration with the Municipality of Salerno to install the Artist's Lights.
