The French director and playwright Joel Pommerat leads to Naples Theater Festival a highly anticipated Italian premiere, an exclusive production of the Teatro Stabile di Napoli, represented from 6 to 8 June at the Pietrarsa MuseumLa Réunification des deux Corées.

Pommerat himself declared that all his dramaturgies come to life from the place chosen for the scenic action, in this case one of the most "atypical" sites chosen by the sixth edition of the Napoli Teatro Festival, namely the National Railway Museum of Pietrarsa, former headquarters of the Officine delle Ferrovie Italiane, in the Sala dei 500.

La Réunification des deux Corées consists of twenty paintings on the theme of love, a fascinating and chaotic, irreverent and tragic path, in the maze of feelings that shake the soul of human beings, moving them away and bringing them closer.

And, between one fragment and another, there is also space for love seen by illustrious personalities such as Shnitzler, Bergman, Wong Kar-wai and Kubrick.

The audience will be placed on the two parallel sides of the stage, in an unprecedented and creative theatrical fruition experience since the spectators are considered an integral part of the staging, an active part of the dramaturgy.

Pommerat himself surrounds the outcome of his stage text in mystery:

«This piece is a succession of moments without explicit unity and narrative coherence. It resembles a succession of small functional fragments united by a theme. And yet it is not an abstract text. On the contrary, it fits into that realistic and humorous writing that I embarked on with Je tremble and Pinocchio, which was strengthened with Cercles / Fictions, Ma Chambre froide, Cendrillon and La Grande et fabuleuse histoire du commerce "

And on the reason of the title states: «It would be like revealing the ending of a detective film».

The show is part of the project City in Scena - Cities on Stage (supported by the European Commission), to which they collaborate: the Teatro Stabile di Napoli, the Théâtre National (Brussels), the Odéon-Théâtre de l'Europe (Paris), the Teatrul National Radu Stanca (Sibiu), the Teatro de La Abadía (Madrid) and Folkteatern (Göteborg).

The goal is to bring the public closer to artistic creations towards the new European realities and stimulate curiosity towards unpublished and original theatrical texts.
