From Thursday 25th to Sunday 28th April, the National Railway Museum of Pietrarsa will celebrate culture and history with an unmissable initiative: the Open Day with entry for just two euros! Located in an unparalleled natural setting, overlooking the Gulf of Naples, the museum has always offered us the possibility of traveling through time through its historic examples of locomotives and carriages which tell the technological and social development of rail transport in Italy.
A unique opportunity for all visitors, from history enthusiasts to families looking for an educational and fun day, to discover or rediscover one of the most important railway collections in Europe at an exceptionally affordable price.
The dates of the offer and the times for access
From the 25 28 April, Open Day at the National Railway Museum of Pietrarsa will take place from 9:30 20:00 on Thursday and until 19:30 from Friday to Sunday. Entrance during these days is set at a symbolic cost of two euros.
In addition, those who purchase a ticket during the Open Days can benefit from a reduction of three euros on a full ticket for any return visit in May. To take advantage of the discount, simply present the special rate ticket purchased at the ticket office, but only in the month of May!
The main attractions of the museum
The National Railway Museum of Pietrarsa hosts one impressive collection of historical pieces, including steam locomotives e vintage carriages, as well as miniature trains, which marked the stages of railway progress.
In addition to the trains, the museum offers the opportunity to explore well-kept green areas and vista panoramica which includes Capri, Ischia, the Sorrento Peninsula and Vesuvius.
