Traditional cooking laboratory for the preparation of sausages (AV)

In an era where the traditions are in danger of vanishing, theMunicipal Administration of Torrioni, Together with Partenio-Vallo di Lauro Mountain Community, Youth Forum andGenerldea Association Odv, is committed to preserving the local culinary heritage through “Traditional cooking workshop".

This first meeting, scheduled for Saturday 3 February at the former Torrioni school building, is proposed as a moment of learning and celebrating the gastronomic customs of the Saturday Valley.

What does the laboratory consist of?

The "Traditional cooking workshop” turns out to be an authentic journey into culinary traditions of Saturday Valley. Participants will have the opportunity to immerse themselves in the preparation of cold cuts e homemade bread, authentic flavors of the territory, often accompanied by an excellent Greco di Tufo.

The event not only celebrates the famous local wine but rediscovers and enhances its gastronomic traditions less known but equally rich in history and taste.

The laboratory represents an important initiative to preserve and pass on the art of food preparation sausages, an ancient and significant practice. The practical sessions, led by industry experts, will allow participants to learn the preparation techniques of sausages, suppressed, and delights like the meat with peppers.

The event will be documented through the creation of a documentary and a cookbook, testifying to the commitment of the community of Towers in the conservation and promotion of its culinary traditions.
