In the municipalities of the Amalfi Coast, "The ways of art and the palate" will be held to celebrate the traditions of the area.
The towns of the Sorrento Coast will kick off, from 13 January at 28 January 2017 to the project "the ways of art and the palate”In collaboration with the average students of the coast which will provide the representation of the novel by Christian Merli in an itinerant form in six different days in a double appointment that will see as a scenography the places described by the novel identified in the municipalities of the Coast.
The protagonist of the performances will be the historical figure of the lemon bearer Ndunè which represents the peasant activity and which will be the symbol of all that the project wants to exalt: history, traditions and excellence of an area that welcomes more than a million tourists every year. In fact, it will be this figure who will ideally lead the spectators by the hand among the traditions of the Coast: the song of the Battenti di Minori, the paranze dell'Avvocata di Maiori, the story of the founder of the Order of the Knights of Malta Fra Gerardo Sasso di Scala and the myths of the rural world.
The morning performances will see the participation of the schools and the children will realize graphic works that will be the object of a summer exhibition. Special guest and active protagonist of the days will be the dancer Gennaro Siciliano.
