Throughout the Peninsula, numerous events are organized to celebrate this anniversary, including processions and testimonies of citizens who lived in that dark period of national history.

The procession in Naples for the liberation

Naples, the third largest city in Italy, will also have a significant celebration on the occasion of April 25th. The main event will be held in Piazza Garibaldi, where the participants will gather for the procession at 10: 00. The procession will cross the streets of Naples, passing through symbolic and historical places, to remember the importance of the Liberation and pay homage to those who fought for the freedom of Italy.

In addition to the procession, Naples will offer a series of side events to commemorate the day, including meetings with witnesses of the time, screenings of historical films and photographic exhibitions. These events aim to involve the community and keep alive the memory of a crucial period in Italian history.

The procession in Rome on the Liberation Day

In Rome, the Liberation Day will be celebrated with a procession that will start at 10:00 from Largo Benedetto Bompiani.
The route will go through:

  • Tor Marancio,
  • Garbatella,
  • Ostiense
  • Porta San Paolo

In addition, three days of events organized for the occasion will end in the Garbatella district.
