In Naples at the first stage of Advantix Running, a non-competitive dog marathon inside the Villa Comunale, against the abandonment of animals
Naples is on the front line to raise public awareness on the problem ofabandonment of animals, and dogs in particular. This is a very serious matter considering that every year, in Italy, no less than 100 thousand dogs are abandoned.
Our city will host the first stage of the Advantix Running charity marathon, at the Villa Comunale on the seafront. Very special marathon because it will have dogs are the protagonists, which will compete in a non-competitive and solidarity race.
The route will be the one near the Zoological Station inside the Villa and the race will take place Sunday May 25 2014. The Neapolitan stage is part of a broader program of marathons, organized by Bayer, which will tour Italy and whose second stage will be hosted by the city of Milan, in the Sempione Park.
The proceeds from the event will be donated to non-profit associations engaged in animal assistance. In the case of Naples, it will be destined to the UDA, the Animal Rights Office of the Naples section, for the construction of a reception center for dogs and cats.
The testimonials of Advantix Running will be Susanna Maggio and Marco Berry, both present on the Village stage together with other guests.
The village
In the Villa Comunale of Naples will also be set up a real village for dogs, with more than 20 stand dbuilt on all aspects and all the needs of the life of our four-legged friends: play, food and training. Will also be present trainers of Well Done Dog Activities: which will teach you how to manage your dog and how to interpret his way of communicating.
In a dedicated space, there will also be gods rescue dogs, experts in finding and rescuing missing persons. In this area, practical demonstrations on this type of training will also be carried out.
In the Village it will be possible to meet Massimo Perla, a dog educator who, on film sets, trains the dogs actors, also founder of Indiana Kayowa, a dog training school. He will present to those present some performances with his dogs that have become famous.
Besides him, there will be Armen Khatchikian, founder of the first Italian school of Sleddog, the ride with sled dogs. In his career he has also been a consultant to Sylvester Stallone and, during Advantix Running, it will be possible to carry out with him trekking activities, using the harness that is normally used for sled dogs.
Furthermore, experts will be present dell'ANMVI, National Association of Italian Veterinary Doctors, to satisfy the curiosity of all those present and to answer the questions of those with specific needs to be exhibited.
