According to Arpac data on 2017 bathing in Naples, sea water in some places is considered excellent!
With the arrival of sunny days, the first taste of summer, the desire to go to the sea grows, even in Napoli.
But what are the bathing areas of the city? Arpac (acronym for the Campania Regional Environmental Protection Agency) monitored the quality of the water and created a map identifying well nine "excellent" places for bathing in Naples alone.
Remember that they will also be installed bathrooms and showers on public beaches.
The excellent sea in Naples
The area that has more places to swim is that between Posillipo and Caracciolo seafront which, in addition to a crystalline sea, offers picturesque views, surrounded by nature and archaeological beauty.
Places with excellent waters are: Nisida, Trentaremi, Marechiaro, Punta Nera, Capo Posillipo, also renowned for the presence of the historic Bagno Elena, Donn'Anna, Lungomare Caracciolo e Via Partenope, overlooking the gulf, the gaiola and the Rocce Verdi bay.
Bad news instead for San Giovanni a Teduccio, Pietrarsa and Piazza Nazario Sauro where the waters are considered scarce.
The excellent sea in the Flegrean Area
Also the Phlegrean coast, in the localities of Bacoli and Capo Miseno, there are bathing sites that include the entire Roman beach up to Cuma, in ancient times one of the most popular holiday destinations for famous people, for its clean air and pleasant landscapes.
