Cristiana Capotondi joins the cast of Margaret of the Stars, a television adaptation directed by Julius Base and scripted by Monica Zapelli e Frederick Taddia. The film draws inspiration from the autobiographical book "Nine lives like cats" by Margherita Hack, co-written with Taddia.
One hundred years after the birth of hack, the film offers a intimate and emotional portrait of the illustrious Italian astrophysicist, symbol of emancipation and exceptional authenticity. Cristiana Capotondi will play the role of Margherita, while Cesare Bocci he will play the role of his father Roberto.
A talented cast
The cast also includes Sandra Cecarelli e Flavio parenti, who will respectively play the mother of Margherita and Aldo De Rosa, the husband of Hack. The plot of the film traces the life of the Florentine scientist, from her independent and curious childhood to her free and nonconformist youth, until she became the cousin donna to direct the Astronomical Observatory of Trieste.
Production and when it will air
Margaret of the Stars is a co-production between Rai Fiction e Minerva pictures, produced by Santo Versace e Gianluca Curti. The film will premiere on Rai 1, the precise date has not been made official, but we know that it will air at December 2023.
