During the final of MasterChef 12 aspiring chefs met the renowned chef Clare Smith, whose challenge has put some cooks to the test.

Participants had to introduce yourself in English and describe their life and their cuisine. During the trial, each cook received a ingredient assigned personally by Smyth, who chose them based on the knowledge he had of them.
The ingredients have been placed, surprisingly, under different ones black boxes:
- Hue: mussels and fennel
- Bubu: crab and tomato
- Mattia: onion and beef tenderloin
- Edoardo: chicken wings and corn
