On Wednesday 7 September 2022 there will be the Napoli-Liveropool match , the first and most eagerly awaited match of this year's Champions League and the metro line 2 trains will run extra times to facilitate the return of fans and limit traffic at the end of the match at the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium.

The match starts at 21.00pm and special trains will run from 23.10pm with 4 journeys towards Gianturco and 1 journey towards Pozzuoli.

The decision was taken by Trenitalia, to which line 2 belongs, after the request of the Campania Region.

Piazza Leopardi station remains closed

As always on these occasions, Piazza Leopardi station will be closed to the public from 10:30 pm and trains must be taken at the Campi Flegrei station located in Piazzale Tecchio.

Buy your ticket in advance

All travellers are advised to purchase their travel tickets in advance , even before the match starts, to avoid queues and crowds on the station platforms.
