Metro Line 2, trains stopped due to fault and stoppage of the line
An unexpected event service interruption has paralyzed line 2 of the Naples metro. The mishap has generated considerable inconvenience for users, especially in the stations Barra – San Giovanni a Teduccio and internal stops.
The causes of the interruption
It turns out, therefore, that the root of the problem is a train stopped at the station Mergellina. The failure had a significant impact on the entire service, resulting in a Domino effect which also reached the terminal station of Barra – San Giovanni a Teduccio with the total blockade of departing trains.
The situation forced the authorities to review the entire roadmap, with delays that can reach up to 40 minutes and the possibility of cancellations.
Passengers stopped on the platform
The train stopped in Mergellina transformed the terminal station of Barra – San Giovanni a Teduccio into forced waiting hub. Passengers, already impatient, now have to deal with significant delays and even with the prospect of trip cancellations.
The atmosphere is tense, but at least now there is an explanation for the suspension of service, although this does not alleviate the general unease.
