The December 16 will be the third miracle of San Gennaro and a guided tour will be theatricalized in the Cathedral of Naples.
The miracle of the dissolution of the blood of San Gennaro occurs, in Naples, three times a year and the third of these events will be the 16 December 2016.
On this occasion we always remember theeruption of the Vesuvius of the 1631, just happened the 16 December, day in which it is said that the Saint stopped the lava before he could enter the city. Also in this third appointment it is always hoped that the miracle will happen smoothly until complete liquefaction because if the opposite were to happen it would be a sign of misfortune.
Naturally the site of the phenomenon will be the Duomo and, for the occasion, the Museum of the Treasure of San Gennaro will organize ainteresting guided tour.
We remember that until May 2017 the Museum will have a reduced price.
The guided tour
It will take place in the Museum of the Treasure of San Gennaro, in the Real Chapel of San Gennaro with the kiss of the Sacre Ampolle and the Duomo itself.
The tour will start with a narrator who will transport you to 1631, the year in which there was the eruption, and will make you relive those moments with the guide of Prince Emanuele Maurizio d'Elbeuf. Immediately after, a theatricalization will be staged in which there will be some historical characters, such as Charles of Bourbon. In conclusion, there will be an invocation to San Gennaro.
After the visit, a tasting of the will be offered Rustic Kiss of Lello Massa.
