The director Ferzan Ozpetek will also be among the winners of the San Gennaro Day 2016 at the Cathedral of Naples!
Saturday 24 September 2016, starting from 20.00 hours on the churchyard dethe Cathedral of Naples, returns the San Gennaro Day, the award that every year is given to Neapolitan personalities who with their work represent the best part of our city.
The secular event recognizes the earthly "miracle" of , of entrepreneurship, of musicand culture and of the south and will open with one Lectio Magistralis (an important lesson given by a famous person), entrusted to the music historian Paolo Isotta, who will do it in Neapolitan language.
As stated by the artistic director Gianni Simioli, we want to "to contribute to the revival of the Neapolitan language, hoping that it will soon be studied in schools of at least Campania ".
The director will be among the guests and the distinguished prize-winners present Ferzan Ozpetek who will shoot his next film "Napoli veiled" in the city of Naples, Stash of The Kolors, Cristina Donadio, Francesco Cicchella, Massimiliano Gallo, Lara Sansone, Barbara Foria, Francesco Merola, who will receive the prize in memory of Mario Merola and Roxy in the Box who has Mission Possible murals, where he met San Gennaro and the painter Caravaggio.
San Gennaro Day is one of the many events of the Feast of San Gennaro, which will last for a few more days.
