Changes to ANM routes and new bus line in the Chiaia area

The 140 and C24 lines will modify their routes and the new C25 line will be introduced to better serve the Chiaia area

Le ANM bus lines in the Chiaia area will be reorganized starting from 5 on June 2015. The routes of some buses will vary, to make the route faster and easier, while one will also be introduced new line, C25.

The lines affected by the changes are the 140 , C24, in addition to the aforementioned C25. The measure will be active at the same time as the activation of the Municipio station metro both to facilitate the interchange between buses and the underground, and to improve the regularity and frequency of the means that serve the Chiaia area.

Line 140

Changes to the route will allow a faster and more efficient connection between Posillipo and the center of the city in order to also serve the Santa Lucia area. Currently the 140 that comes from Posillipo, arrives in Piazza Vittoria and reaches Piazza Bovio, Piazza Matteotti, Via S. Carlo and Piazza Trieste and Trento, with very long travel times and low frequency.

From 5 June, once you arrive at the via Arcoleo stop, you will turn into via Chiatamone, walk along via Santa Lucia, via Cesareo Console, the Vittoria gallery to return to piazza Vittoria.
The changes to the route, together with the introduction of other buses that will bring the total number to 7, will bring down the frequency from 30 to 15 minutes.

C24 Line

The line currently starts from Mergellina and arrives in via Santa Lucia, passing through via Crispi and via dei Mille. The new route will be limited to Piazza Vittoria, as it will be the 140 to transit via Santa Lucia, as mentioned.
In this way, frequency and regularity will improve.

C25 Line

The new bus it will connect Piazza Vittoria with the Piazza Municipio area and the new metro station of line 1, with the following route: piazza Vittoria - Vittoria gallery - Acton - p. Bovio - via Diaz - Medina - Town Hall - via San Carlo -Medina - Depretis - Acton- Galleria Vittoria - Piazza Vittoria.
The C3 buses will be 25.
