The Villa Comunale of Sorrento will become an art gallery thanks to a prestigious exhibition on Dante Alighieri!
On the occasion of the 750th anniversary of the birth of Dante Alighieri, Villa Comunale di Sorrento, from the April 25 to the 31 2015 August, will be the scenario of an extraordinary one show dedicated to the great poet.
The exhibition, organized by the Sorrento Foundation and the Municipality, will highlight 18 marble slabs high-relief, 2 x 2,5 meters each, signed by the master Benedetto Robazza.
The same panels, representing the scenes ofDante's Inferno, which in recent years have recorded extraordinary results in many cities in China, Rome and Florence.
Robazza is not new to success, in fact it is among the most appreciated artists in the world thanks to many and prestigious works present in every corner of the globe, as, to name a few, the monument to Giuseppe Garibaldi positioned in the 18th avenue of New York, the bust of Ronald Reagan in the Washington White House, the monument to the overseas fallen of the Bari shrine and many others.
The artistic masterpieces in Sorrento, moreover, will be installed in precise positions, in order to be observed before the beautiful Neapolitan gulf. A strategic choice to ideally place the Hell, represented by the plates, at Paradiso, the Neapolitan one, made up of sun, sea and panoramas. An intelligent way, therefore, to transform the city into a single and large art gallery.
