Exhibition on luthiers, goldsmiths and crib crafts of the historic center with “Fatti ad arte” at the Brau Library in Naples.
Until April 28 2017 it will be visitable show Fatti ad - a search on display. Violin makers, goldsmiths and cribs in the historic center of Naples, set up at the Brau Library.
The exhibition starts from an ethnographic research conducted from January to October 2016 by the Department of Social Sciences of Federico II, as part of the project Snecs-Databenc (acronym of Social Network of the entities of historic centers).
The study highlights the innovative processes of promotion and protection of Campania's cultural heritage in the three contexts analyzed: luthiers, goldsmiths and cribs, of which our city boasts an ancient and beloved international fame, especially in the historic center.
To support the report there will be videos, photos and descriptive panels through which the results of the survey will be analyzed. A big multimedia exhibition that analyzes the treasures of the Neapolitan tradition, in which the craft of the craftsman and his precious art are valued, which requires skill and patience and which is becoming an increasingly rare job due to industrial production.
