The second edition of Naples Shipping Week 2016 kicks off with events, parades of vintage sails and the Amerigo Vespucci ship!
From the 27 June to the 2 July Naples hosts the Naples Shipping Week 2016, a week dedicated entirely to maritime world. The event, in its second edition, was organized by ClickUtility Team and Propeller Club Port of Naples.
The goal is to enhance and make known an area of excellence of the Neapolitan city, which has always been one of the reference points of the Italian maritime economy. Conferences will take place throughout the week, meetings and events cultural themes in which important personalities from the business, academic and scientific world will intervene.
The Italian and international shipping communities will be involved in the study of topics such as environmental sustainability, safety at sea and new technologies.
To enrich the vast program there will also be many cultural initiatives, including photographic exhibitions and Concert of the Band of the Navy Band. It stands out among all the visit of the Amerigo Vespucci ship-school, which for the occasion and to celebrate its 85 years of navigation will be moored at the Maritime Station. We also report the parade of vintage sails, scheduled to close the event, and to which Amerigo Vespucci will participate.
Recall that in the same period there will also be the splendid Regatta of vintage sails of the Gulf of Naples.
