Anna Magnani, Fellini, Buñuel, Lubitsch, Bigas Luna, Francesca Neri and Sergio Rubini among the protagonists of the Naples Film Festival 2013
It started yesterday with a preview there XV edition of the Naples Film Festival, the film festival that transforms our city every year into a meeting place for the protagonists of the seventh art, spreading quality Hollywood cinema and promoting Campania cinema, with a space dedicated to shorts and documentaries.
This year the Naples Film Festival will be dedicated to Anna Magnani, one of the most intense and talented actresses on the big screen, who has written entire pages of Italian film history.
Yesterday, September 26th, apreview of the festival at the Institut Français in Naples on the day of the death of Magnani, which took place exactly forty years ago. From 17:30 a real film marathon was held (with free admission) with the screening of three famous films of which she was an unforgettable protagonist and which made her win the Oscar, the Volpi Cup and the Silver Ribbon: The Honorable Angelina by Luigi Zampa, The fur is fantastic by Luchino Visconti e The tattooed rose by Daniel Mann, with an intervention by the film critic Valerio Caprara.
From the 30 September 2013 you will enter the festival alive, during which there will be meetings with some Italian film stars such as Francesca Neri, Sergio Rubini and Vincenzo Marra, a theme night with David Radcliffe, retrospectives dedicated to four famous directors, Fellini, Lubitsch, Buñuel and Bigas Luna, competitions for youth works, short films and documentaries by new directors, ScreenNaples, Competition Mediterranean Europe, FOTOgrammi.
