Napoli Teatro Festival Italia 2014: presented the seventh edition

From the 6 to the 22 June 2014 will be held the VII edition of the Naples Theater Festival. Focus on Chekhov, on the world of children and on Eduardo De Filippo
Il Naples Theater Festival of Italy it is undoubtedly one of the pride of our city. The festival dedicated to the art of the theater in all its forms collects, year after year, more and more success with critics and audiences, earning the merit of bringing citizens and visitors from all over the world to the theater and attracting directors, actors and artists to Naples of all the world.
From the 6 22 2014 June Naples will again be "invaded" by shows and performances of all kinds, which will animate various locations in our city, enhancing the artistic potential of places that are not commonly "theatrical" and transforming them into dramaturgical and expressive spaces.
Last Friday 4 in April, in the halls of the Campania Region in via Poli 29 in Rome, was held press conference to present the seventh edition of the Napoli Teatro Festival Italia, where Luigi Grispello, new president of the Campania Festival Foundation, Caterina Miraglia, councilor for culture of the Campania Region, Luca De Fusco, artistic director of the Napoli Teatro Festival Italia were present.
During the press conference the program of the theatrical festival and the news of this edition, which will offer the public more shows than the previous editions, from 23 to 30 of those of this year, with 19 absolute first, 9 Italian prime and 2 upgrades. Luca De Fusco also anticipated that, next year, the Festival will be held for the first time in the Castel Sant'Almo venue, and will be anticipated by a preview in the spring.
The festival will open Vertigo Dance Company, the Israeli dance company confirmed for the third consecutive year with two performances by the choreographer Noa Wertheim on music by Ran Bagno, both at the National Railway Museum of Pietrarsa.
Three will be i Thematic "focus" of the Naples Theater Festival 2014:
- il world of childhood, with two shows for children, Pinocchio e Kaspar Hauser
- Chekhov, of which three versions of Uncle Vanja, The garden of the cherry trees, Il Gabbiano e Three sisters
- Eduardo de Filippo, with the staging de The mayor of the Health District e Pain under lock and key
The places of the festival
The shows will be held at the theaters San Ferdinando, Mercadante, Nuovo Teatro Nuovo, Galleria Toledo and Sannazaro, but also in some places not purely theatrical, but which characterize and define the city of Naples. The National Railway Museum of Pietrarsa has been reconfirmed as the location of some performances, to which are added the Public Dormitory of Naples e the Academy of Fine Arts.
