Challenge of the Neapolitan team for the Naples-Montecarlo offshore: beat the sea crossing record between the two cities!
Another good news in the field of events starting from our city, this time in the nautical field: the offshore Napoli-Montecarlo is scheduled for the July 2016. The challenge will start from the Royal Yacht Club Canottieri Savoia and it will end in the fantastic scenery of the twin circle of the Yacht Club de Monaco.
Specifically, it is the Long Distance Offshore Record Naples-Montecarlo, where we try to exceed the crossing record from our city to Munich. For the occasion, there is a great challenge launched by Alfredo Amato of the Neapolitan offshore team, Al & Al: beat his record on the Naples-Monaco distance with your own boat.
Alfredo Amato, with this challenge, wanted to exalt the attachment of the Neapolitan team to the city, the importance of highlighting Naples and its excellence through sports competition. The aim is to get to Monte Carlo, and break his own record, with an average speed of 68 miles per hour.
The initiative is sponsored by the Municipality of Naples with the figure of the mayor Luigi de Magistris, who decided to bring focus on the city and its sporting reality through boating and offshore. The Councilor for Sport of the Municipality of Naples, Ciro Borriello, confirmed that the sponsorships collected to date have been donated to support the “Save the Children” project.
