Here we go, it's about to arrive 17 March 2024, day in which Napoli becomes the stage of V edition of the Randonnée. A unique opportunity for those who love Cycling, offering a journey on two wheels through breathtaking scenery and roads rich in history.
With a path that touches the 200 kilometers, promises challenges and natural wonders, from Naples to the Coast, passing through unforgettable views of Vesuvius and the sea, on a day that intertwines sport, culture and the timeless beauty of Campania.
Restarting the Naples Bike Festival
La Hiking (in French and means walk/excursion) of Naples marks the beginning of the Naples Bike Festival, now in its thirteenth edition. This year, on March 17, the Neapolitan streets will once again come alive with energy, passion and the desire to explore.
From break of dawn, cyclists from all over Italy will converge onformer NATO area of Bagnoli, ready to immerse yourself in an adventure on two wheels that promises to be unforgettable. The village of Randonnée, the beating heart of the event, was born from the collaboration with the Campania Welfare Foundation, symbol of an event that combines sport, culture and solidarity.
The
Departure is scheduled between 7 and 8 in the morning, from Bagnoli, where participants will be welcomed in the village organized for the occasion.
The race unfolds on a route that extends for almost 200 kilometers, also offering a shorter variant of 100 kilometers, for those who wish to enjoy the beauty of the landscape without the challenge of long distance.
Among the highlights, the crossing of the Sorrento and Amalfitan coasta, and the passage near the Vesuvio. An experience enriched by stops designed to discover local culture and flavours, until the return to Naples, along the suggestive Caracciolo seafront.
The path
The route unfolds in a mix of challenges and wonders, starting from Posillipo hill to Greek's tower, first checkpoint of the trip.
Afterwards, we continue towards Vico Equense, entering the beating heart of the Sorrento Coast, and then embracing the wonders of Amalfi Coast, with an ascension to Chiunzi Pass which touches i 656 meters above sea level.
The route offers not only the sporting challenge but also the possibility of admire landscapes that enchant the gaze and the soul, with strategic stops to enjoy the local gastronomy and moments of sharing, such as a visit to the Nappo agricultural fund, symbol of resistance and rebirth. The return to Naples closes the circle of this adventure, leaving the participants with indelible memories and the promise of a more sustainable and aware tomorrow, thanks also to the memory of the champion Michele Scarponi, to whom the event pays homage.
