The emotion of Beijing Express 2023 continues in Malaysian Borneo, with a 494 km course that tests the pairs remaining in the race. In this fifth episode of the Sky programme, the challenges intensify and a welcome guest arrives: the former winner Victoria Cabello.
Summary of the fourth episode
In the fourth installment of Beijing Express 2023, Mom and Son had won the immunity test, while the Italian Americans had arrived first and had saved the Activists, condemning the Elimination lawyers.
The victory of the newly weds
The protagonists of this episode are the Just Married, who win the stage thanks also to the advantage obtained in the previous race.
After them, come the Hounds, putting all other pairs at risk of elimination. The Newlyweds therefore had to choose who to save and take with them to the sixth episode.
What happened during the episode: the meeting with the orangutans and the illness of Giorgia Soleri
The Newlyweds had the task of choose who to save and bring along to the sixth installment. They opt for The Sicilians and the Activists, then save Mom and Son.
At risk of elimination they remain the Italian Americans and the Mediterraneans, with The Newlyweds eventually choosing to save Joe Bastianich and Andrea Belfiore.
However, the stage turned out to be non-elimination.
During the episode, the contestants also had to face an unusual test: eat fish eyes.

After winning the stage, Federica Pellegrini and Matteo Giunta they have the opportunity to have an amazing experience - a trip to the jungle to see the orangutans.
A moment of joy and emotion for the couple, who manage to detach from the competition and immerse themselves in the beauty of nature.
During the episode, Giorgia Soleri he suffered from an illness due to vulvodynia, a disease she has been suffering from for some time.
Despite the pain, the activist and influencer manages to pass the test on the river and to continue the competition, showing great strength and determination.
In this installment, the couples also had to face a test of Malay language.
Some competitors, such as the Italian Americans and the Newlyweds, they manage to pass the exam, while others, such as Totò Schillaci and his wife, Mother and Son, the Mediterranean women and the Activists, they are postponed and find themselves having to serve penalties.
Furthermore, the difficulties have increased since the pair of Hounds, a new entry, has hindered the others by bringing in particular Italian Americans starting off at a disadvantage.
The return of Victoria Cabello to Beijing Express
Enzo Miccio and Victoria Cabello formed a formidable couple in Beijing Express 2023, called The Hounds.
Their job was to test the other pairs in the race, hindering them with the stop flag.
As soon as the race started, Enzo and Victoria they intercepted the Italian Americans, forcing them to stop their ride for a short time.
How the Hounds rule and the stop flag work
When The Hounds cross paths with a pair during competition, this is forced to stop e wait ten minutes before restarting if the meeting takes place by car, while if it occurs on foot, the Hounds must touch the competitors with the flag.
Couples who reach the end of the stage after The Hounds are at risk of elimination.
