Piano City in Naples: music at the Mostra d'Oltremare and in the alleys

The 5, 6 and 7 December 2014, the Overseas Show opens its doors to the piano.

From an idea of the German pianist Andreas Kern, recognized and esteemed internationally for his idea of innovation applied to music, the Festival was born Plan City Berlin succeeding in involving 70 salons and pianists of international success, presenting events such as "the white night of the piano" and the "Piano Battle".

Il 5, 6 and 7 December 2014, the piano will transmit its melodious music to every corner of the city with concerts, events, appointments in the living rooms of Neapolitan houses and in other important places: from museums to theaters to squares, but the main venue is the Mostra D'Oltremare.

Exclusive house concerts will be organized in the harmony of the notes of the piano and in the warmth of the Neapolitan welcome.

A musical event that will touch all kinds of music from classical to jazz, from contemporary to rock and pop, but all performed exclusively on the piano with the participation of professional concert performers, enthusiasts and students.

The pianists who participate with a House Concert they have to make a short video to show their performance. The films will be visible on the web to allow the public to judge and choose the performances in advance.

FESTIVAL STRUCTURE
Main Concert The Main Concerts include the most important events held at the Mostra D'Oltremare including the Piano Battle, the Improvisation Marathon and the Profiles of Neapolitan piano composers and a special on the Neapolitan song. The creator Andreas Kern and Paul Cibis will clash in the revenge of the Battle Plan, a battle with piano strokes.
House Concert The focus of the event is the House Concerts or concerts in homes. Those who wish can hold or host a concert of at least 40 minutes in their living room with an audience of at least 5 people. The initiative is open to professionals and enthusiasts, there are no age or genre limits.
City Concert These are events and concerts that will be held in public places in the city: museums, libraries, theaters, etc.
Kids A series of workshops and musical lessons will allow children and parents to approach the world of piano in a fun way.
Educational Thematic meetings on teaching and the world of piano.
Guest Concert These are events and concerts promoted by external organizations (schools, hotels, business premises, and anyone who wants to participate !!).
