Pint of Science 2017 will take place in the clubs and pubs of Naples with researchers who will confront the public!
From the 15 17 May 2017 the event will take place in some European and Italian cities, including Naples Pint of Science.
In three famous locations in the historic center of Naples, such as the Slash, the Museum Shop & Bar and the former Filangieri Asylum, will intervene internationally renowned scientists who will make science a subject understandable to all, telling it in a simple way, making known the latest technological frontiers and innovative discoveries of research.
Three evenings dedicated to scientific knowledge and beer.
The thematic areas
The topics covered will be topical and divided into six thematic areas:
- Beautiful Mind (neuroscience, psychology and psychiatry);
- Atoms to Galaxies (chemistry, physics and astronomy);
- Our Body (human biology);
- Planet Earth (earth sciences, evolution and zoology);
- Tech Me Out (technology and computer);
- Social Sciences (law, history and political science).
Among the topics we will talk about the production of food and sustainability, food security in the GMO world, the potential for innovation of artistic manifestations, the correlation between biological processes and some human diseases, the search for life outside the planet Earth and digital democracy.
