In Naples public transport is managed by 3 distinct companies:
There are two types of tickets:
Tickets can also be purchased digitally via Unique Campania app or by SMS to the number 4868680.
Unlike many other European metropolises, in Naples the differentiation of routes and companies has complicated the creation of contactless payment via credit and debit cards, as the cost of the trip varies according to the distance traveled (divided into bands).
To overcome this problem, TAPin and TAPout have been introduced, i.e. the payment card must be passed to the reader both at the entrance. both at the exit, often that of the exit is usually present near the turnstiles before the exit.
The system will thus automatically calculate the appropriate figure based on the exit band, while in case of missed TAPout will charge the highest amount for the entire route.
L'ANM manages the largest urban transport network in the Neapolitan territory.
The following transports are under his management:

It starts with the Circumvesuviana, which in Naples is located at the Piazza Garibaldi station on the -1 floor at the bottom left. One of the trains of the Naples-Sorrento line and you have to get off at the stop Pompeii Villa of the Mysteries. From there the Eav Pompeii / Vesuvius BUS must be taken active from 1st April to 30th September, the ticket for this part of the journey is made on board and is valid only for the single leg, so it must be redone on return.
Consult the table for all the information on the timetables of the Pompeii-Vesuvius BUS.
It starts with the Circumvesuviana, which in Naples is located at the Piazza Garibaldi station on the -1 floor at the bottom left. One of the trains on the Naples-Sorrento line, even better if very direct (DD). Often the train leaves from Line 3, but check the display or in the train head for the destination as on the same line trains leave for different destinations.
You will get off at the last stop which is Sorrento, but attention: don't confuse it with Piano di Sorrento, that's another stop!
Given the lack of reliability and crowds of the Circumvesuviana, it is possible to book a ticket for the Campania Express and travel in better conditions.
Alternatively it is possible to fall back on a ferry from Molo Beverello.
