Dat October 16 2015In the historic center of Bagnoli Irpino, a gem in the heart of Irpinia, various initiatives will take place as part of the Chestnut and truffle festival, organized by Pro loco Laceno.
The products of the place, the chestnuts from Montella and the black truffle from Bagnoli in fact, they represent a huge economic resource for the mountain town.
The sweet quality of chestnuts is also highly esteemed abroad and are used above all in confectionery or processed in industries to produce the famous "chestnuts of the priest”(Dried and then softened), marronata, flour or tasted like roasted chestnuts.
The other top diamond is the black truffle, very precious and expensive, characterized by an intense aroma, used in the preparation of condiments, sauces, grappas and liqueurs. The "Bagnoli black truffle market and typical products ”.
Numerous will be set up during the event food and wine stands where also other typical local products will be exposed, such as pecorino and wines, among which the excellent Greco di Tufo, Fiano di Avellino, Taurasi.
They will also be organized art and craft exhibitions, animation for nature excursions in search of chestnuts, mushrooms and truffles on the Laceno mountains, guided visits to sites of major cultural interest.
