The 19th Porcini Mushroom Festival will be held in the heart of Irpinia in Torchiati di Montoro Superiore. From 17 to 20 July 2014
The 19th edition of the festival will be held in a few days Festival of the Porcino Mushroom of Torchiati, fraction of the municipality of Montoro Top, in the province of Avellino. July 17th - 20th 2014 fans of dishes based on porcini mushrooms they cannot absolutely miss what has now become an unmissable event, a reference point for summer events in Campania for many visitors.
The first edition of the famous Feast of the Porcino Mushroom of Montoro Superiore it was built in 1996 and immediately proved to be a great success with the public and quality. Since then, the gastronomic event has attracted thousands of people from all over the Campania region to the small Irpinia village, and the days dedicated to the festival have become more and more. The event is organized by the Nuova Associazione SS. Salvatore Onlus and aims to promote the gastronomic culture of the area.
In the four days of the festival it will be possible not only to taste the delicious mushroom dishes, but also attend performances, small concerts, participate in dance evenings of group dances and popular, in an event that involves everyone between good food, entertainment and folk music.
The festival area includes 1500 seats, where 25 stands will be placed differentiated by specialty (reduced waiting times even in moments of greatest influx).
