Tasty tastings at the 2017 fish festival at Borgo Marechiaro in Naples for the Feast of Santa Maria del Faro.
The April 23 2017 returns the Fish Festival in Borgo di Marechiaro a Napoli. It will be the highlight of the feast of Santa Maria del Faro, which will be held in Marechiaro from 20 to 23 April and which will see various events, including the religious rituals that will take place in the ancient church of the same name.
Participants will be able to taste fresh fish caught on site, such as fried anchovies, shrimps and polyps that will be cooked in delicious ways.
The event, organized by the Borgo Marechiaro Association, aims not only to promote local fish, but also to revalue the historic Borgo di Marechiaro, which was one of the symbols of the sweet life and offers a splendid panoramic view of the entire city of Naples and Vesuvius, up to the Sorrento peninsula and theIsle of Capri.

- at 13.00: at the Istituto San Francesco d'Assisi there will be a lunch for the disadvantaged and then a concert by the students of the SM Marechiaro
Friday April 21 2017
- at 10.30: awarding of the SM Della Valle students for the Marechiaro and Casale project
- 18.30 hours: in the association's headquarters, presentation of Peppe Manetti's book "When the motorboat arrived at Marechiaro"
Saturday April 22 2017
- at 10.00: exhibition of flowers, visit and delivery of gifts to the sick and the elderly
- at 18.00: celebration of Holy Mass at Lido Marechiaro and, soon after, the immersion of the statue of the Madonna del Faro
Sunday April 23 2017
- at 18.00: procession from gaiola in Marechiaro of the Madonna of Santa Maria del Faro
- at 19.30: in the "piazzetta a mare" of the village of Marechiaro will begin the III Local Fish Festival
