The Sagra del Riavulillo in Arola, a fraction of Vico Equense, will inflame the palates of the sweet tooth

From 31 July at 2 August 2016 ad Arola will host the Sagra del Riavulillo, a typical product of the Sorrento area that is located in the hilly area of ​​Vico Equense and in the hamlet of Arola.

Il Riavulillo is a caciocavallo pasta filata, hand-worked and stuffed with black olives, olive oil and crushed chilli, ingredients that make it unique, made undergoing a smoking treatment. It can be served as an appetizer or as a second course, cooked on the grill, in foil, or baked and consumed warm and stringy with a good glass of wine.

In addition to the traditional version, the municipality of Vico Equense also produces less spicy variants with a filling of ham, fresh tomato and basil, white olives or mushrooms.

During the Festival it will be possible to taste the "Provolone del Monaco Dop", Chestnut honey and sweets typical of the Neapolitan tradition.

The evenings will start at 20:00 and, in addition to tasting the Riavulillo in all its goodness and other typical products of the area, you can listen to excellent music and drink wine in the company of friends and relatives.

For this edition the organizers have set up an area in Arola where to park the cars.
