Traditional dishes and folk music at the XMUMX maccaronara festival in Castelvetere sul Calore!
Il 12 and 13 August 2016 will host the festival of Maccaronara di Castelvetere sul Calore, in the province of Avellino.
The event, now in its thirty-ninth edition, will celebrate one of the best and most characteristic dishes of the place: maccaronara, a type of pasta made strictly by hand, whose mixture of water and flour is worked with it tool said, in fact, "Maccaronara". All seasoned with a tasty tomato sauce.
To enhance the taste of the food that will be prepared there will be the excellent and fresh Aglianico wine, produced expertly by local wineries.
Between one tasting and another there will also be entertainment by Piccimondo Folk Group and Nice Italians that will brighten the atmosphere with popular music and the renowned tarantella.
In addition, you can take the opportunity to visit the medieval village that watches over Castelvetere, lit by the starry sky in the wake of the night of San Lorenzo.
