Let's take a moment to stop from the many chestnut festivals and move on to something more full-bodied.
It has come to 31esima edition, all of them have been very successful, of the Sfrionzola Festival and village sausage to be held in Octi, a small town in the province of Salerno. The gastronomic appointment will take place Saturday 3 and Sunday 4 December 2022.
The goal of this festival is to focus on some traditional flavors of this Campania area, above all to make known the “sizzle". It is about selected pieces of pork with pickled peppers. This dish was prepared to celebrate the rare day of plenty for peasants and breeders.
The dish served at this local festival will certainly not be just the sizzle, in fact, the absolute protagonist of the event is the pig in all its forms, Such as village sausage.
Other typical dish present will be i cavatielli with pork and broccoli sauce, cheese roast meat, typical sweets and many other dishes of the Ottatese cuisine, as well as the excellent wine local.
The event will be accompanied by folk music. Even in the case of pioggia will take place thanks to the covered tasting areas. On Sunday 4 December 2022 lunch will be served as well as being open in the evening.
