Also this year Angri will pay homage to the potato with delicious menus and fun initiatives!

For lovers of festivals and excellent cuisine, do not miss the tasty Potato Festival, which will be held ad Angri il 23 and 24 May 2015.

The initiative, now in its seventh edition and organized by the NOMOS Onlus, will immerse the participants in delicious tastings of dishes based on potatoes fried and not, like, gnocchi, parmigiane, twister, zeppole and much more.

Also this year the festival will also present courses based on the Ricciona potato: a type of tuber cultivated during the 50s, particularly tasty, and which over time has remained in the shadows due to the spread of foreign cultures.

Last but not least, visitors, between a goodness and the other, can get caught up in between stalls, exhibitions, workshops creative and craft, to the rhythm of music e folk dances, special fashion shows and time trial races.

A nice opportunity, not only for the taste buds, but also to discover theimportance of the territory, agricultural economy and to enhance one of the products of excellence of the Agro lands.

Potato Festival Program

Saturday May 23 2015

- 19,00 pm opening of food stands with potato specialties, accompanied by traditional country music and dances.
- 21,30 pm Popular music.

Sunday May 24 2015

- 10,00 am parade of agricultural vehicles through the streets of Angri, starting from via Taverna Vecchia, and then ending in via Quarto I with the Stopwatch Tractor race (Time trial of agricultural vehicles)
- 19,00 pm opening of food stands with traditional peasant music and dances. Closure with fireworks
