From 3 to 6 September 2015, the tasty "Frog Festival" awaits all Neapolitans in Marcianise!
From 3 at the 6 September 2015, marcianise will host the famous "Frog Festival", the festival dedicated to gastronomy, culture and local traditions.
The review, organized by the association "il Sito", is presented with a rich program that will transport citizens and tourists on a fascinating journey through the customs and traditions of the ancient Marcianisian society.
This community was mainly dedicated to agriculture and the cultivation of hemp, and which it used in the kitchen frogs as the main source of animal protein.
The party, therefore, will provide a tasty menu that will fill the food stands of succulent dishes based on frogs, eels, pettole and beans, sandwiches with sausage and broccoli, chips, zeppoline and much more. All framed by flea markets, music and group dances.
A nice opportunity to have fun and rediscover the folklore and the customs of the territory of Caserta, but above all a way to counter current trends that over time are leading to the disappearance of this precious heritage.
