The highly anticipated Black Truffle and Chestnut Festival of Bagnoli Irpino is approaching, with the preview of the Market Exhibition between tastings and tastings. 18 and 19 October and from 24 to 26 October 2014
It will be a weekend to be enjoyed that of the 18 and 19 October 2014, when it will be held in the village of Bagnoli Irpino (AV) the Exhibition of the Black Truffle Market, preview of the highly anticipated Chestnut and Black Truffle Festival that will come back 24 from October to 26 2014.
This is the 37th edition of the famous festival, anticipated, for the fifth consecutive year, with a "taste" of typical products and wines of Irpinia that will take place in Piazza Leonardo Di Capua, where it will be possible to taste the 18 and 19 October from 10 to 23:30, black truffle from Bagnolese and the great Irpinia wines (Taurasi, Fiano di Avellino and Greco di Tufo), but also other local dishes.
During the Bagnolese Preview, organized by the Municipality in partnership with the Bagnoli-Laceno Tourist Consortium, the Pro Loco Bagnoli-Laceno and with the participation of Fisar (Italian Federation of Sommelier Hoteliers and Restaurants), there will also be moments of itinerant historical re-enactment that will have the their culmination in the characteristic cheese throwing game. The throwing or "tumbling" of the cheese is a game officially recognized by the Italian Federation of Historical Games that dates back to the times of the Etruscans, when a seasoned cheese, like pecorino, was thrown along the tractors.
But the real Festival of Black Truffle and Chestnut of Bagnoli Irpino it will be inaugurated on 24 October and will continue until 26 October. During this weekend, visitors will be able to taste and buy typical local products through the charming alleys of the historic center, including cheeses, salami, grilled meats and, of course, roasted chestnuts and products with Bagnolese black truffle.
At the festival will be associated with a rich program of events that will include guided tours in the historic center and nature excursions.
