Walnuts? The Scisciano Walnut Festival is for you and you can not miss it! From 18 to 20 October 2013
La wot it represents the fruit-symbol of the peasant world, especially in the Campania territories and in the Sciscianese area, in the Agro-Nolano area, where a festival is organized every year to celebrate its flavor and its beneficial properties (it protects and nourishes brain activities).
It will therefore also be held this year Scisciano Walnut Festival, now in its 17esesimo edition, an event that represents a meeting place between old and new generations, to rediscover traditional habits and flavors, but above all the indissoluble link between man and earth.
During the Scisciano Walnut Festival, to be held 18 from October to 20 2013 in Piazza XX Settembre, it will be possible to taste a great variety of typical local walnut-based dishes, but also attend entertainment shows and folk dances, but also an important conference on the origin, history and antioxidant and anticancer qualities of this fruit, known as a real long life elixir.
