Ragù week in Naples: local 40 celebrate the meat sauce with a special menu

Tastings, menus dedicated to meat sauce and events for the week of meat sauce in Naples!

Dfrom February 26th to March 4th 2018 with the Ragù 7su7 initiative, promoted by LucianoPignataro WineBlog and MySocialRecipe, and sponsored by the Chamber of Commerce of Naples, for the first time the meat sauce will be celebrated.

As we all know, the sauce is a tomato-based dressing enriched with various meats, typical of the Neapolitan culinary tradition, of which every family seems to jealously guard secret recipes to prepare it to perfection. Its unmistakable taste and smell immediately makes us feel at home, so much so that they have also created a perfume with its essence.

But this time they will be Local 40 of the city, from the starred restaurant to the trattoria, to celebrate for a whole week the delicious condiment in both traditional and innovative versions, for example using beer during cooking.

Among the various ways in which we can taste it there will be the "Lasagna Celestina, celestine pasta with basil with heart of Neapolitan lasagna" by Antonio Sorrentino of Tomato red, the "Crushed meatballs with quenelle of Neapolitan sauce, crunchy caciocavallo podolico seasoned with oil flavored with piperna "by Dario Della Rossa dand Il Macello, the "Gnocchi with buffalo ricotta and fried basil with Neapolitan classic ragout" of the Hostaria la Campanella, to the classics "Ziti broken up with Carmnella ragù".

In concomitance, they will also be held seminars on the combination of meat sauce, beer and wineoe on the preparation of the sauce.

The "ragù week" aims to promote the tradition of Neapolitan cuisine by spreading it beyond regional borders.
