Song 'Swing 2016 arrives in Naples, three days of jazz, lindy hop, dj set, dances and workshops!
From To 27 29 May 2016 a Napoli, Hart cinema and Milonga Porteña, the second edition of the Song Swing, an international event dedicated to all those who love swing to play and dance. Thanks to the organization of the Swing Naples Association, the Neapolitan city will become the Italian capital of the city for three days jazz and lindy hop. Courses, dance evenings, live sets and DJ sets with national and international guests will also be organized.
Friday 27 May, with the opening night, will perform the Handmade Swing Band of Naples who will propose a repertoire of the most famous swing hits recreating the atmosphere of the full ballrooms and the years of Armstrong and Ella. On Saturday 28th, however, the Benevento group Dr. Jazz and the Dirty Bucks will feed the dances, playing Ragtime, Dixieland and Swing. The group will anticipate the concert of The Speakeasies Swing Band from Greece, which despite being young have already played in the most important festivals in Europe and Asia.
Sunday 29 May will end with the All Star Jam Session which will have as guest of honor the pianist Giorgio Cùscito considered the greatest Italian exponent of mainstream and traditional jazz.
Each evening will be extended with i dj if and at the consoles Lucie Q djette, Dj Alec and dj Tone Cooper will follow each other.
The workshops, on the other hand, will be held on Saturday and Sunday mornings, with a total of six hours of Lindy Hop in 3 levels, two hours of Authentic Jazz at a single level, and two hours of Shag.
