Theatrical performances aboard a raft in the evocative scenery of the Terme Stufe di Nerone for the "Teatro alla Deriva" review
Have you ever witnessed theatrical performances that take place on board a floating raft? During the cool summer evenings, the theater also moves to open-air places, as will happen for the third edition of the cultural review Drifting Theater, which will also be held this year in the evocative and magical setting of Stufe di Nerone, in four events: the 16, 23 and 30 July and the 12 September 2014.
Drifting Theater is a unique event in Italy, awarded the A. Landieri 2013 Award for Best Theater Review with the following motivation: "The Theater in every place: a unique scenario, a review of the highest civil and social value". An opportunity not to be missed for those who love theater in all its forms and contexts, in a relaxing atmosphere and in a dimension far from city stress.
It is no coincidence that the location chosen for the event is that of Stufe di Nerone where the shows will be held on board a floating raft purpose built and positioned inside the small thermal lake of the Stufe di Nerone. Here the spectators will be able to attend four shows that they have in common civil, social and historical memory commitment. In fact, among the selected companies they are "independent and combative" whose shows show great attention to themes capable of making people reflect and remember, sometimes even in a light and fun way, but always in the name of a thick content, and whose shows often they also run nationally.
The review Drifting Theater was born from an idea of Ernesto Colutta and with the artistic direction of Giovanni Meola, director of the four shows. At the end of each performance, the public will be able to meet the evening artists and the director Giovanni Meola himself for an informal chat in the outdoor bar area of the Stufe di Nerone.
