On October 2, 2023 at 22 am, a seismic phenomenon attracted the attention of the authorities and the Neapolitan citizens, focusing especially on the Phlegraean area.

An earthquake of moderate duration, more than 10 seconds and, at the moment, the strongest in intensity perceived in recent months.

The phenomenon was mainly detected from monitoring devices in the Solfatara area, suggesting it may be a case of bradyseism, a low-profile ground movement.

In any case, it was clearly perceived by the population who were greatly alarmed, the episodes are now very frequent.
