An unmissable tribute by Peppe and Toni Servillo to the city of Naples and its culture through the music and words of authors, poets and musicians who loved it.

After the extraordinary success of Le voci di dentro, Peppe and Toni Servillo they return to perform together with the recital The word sings, tribute to music and words to the city of Naples, with the suggestive support of the Solis String Quartet.

From January 9 22 2018 to the two Servillo brothers, from the stage of the Teatro Diana, will celebrate Naples, its tradition and its culture of every age, singing poetry and reciting songs, reviving literature, theater and music, through the works of great and famous authors of the past and present who loved Naples with their art, from Eduardo De Filippo to Raffaele Viviani, from EA Mario to Libero Bovio, up to contemporary voices such as those of Enzo Moscato and Mimmo Borrelli.

The word sings it is, as he stated Toni Servillo, a portrait in verse, melodies and music of a city that shows a thousand faces and a thousand contradictions, "Divided between extreme vitality and deepest bewilderment, a city whose language is the oldest sign, forged by time and by contamination".

Peppe and Toni Servillo's musical show is truly one of a kind, because it moves away from any attempt to tell Naples and Naples through its commonplaces but, on the contrary, mixes the verbal and sound substance of poets, writers and composers, witnesses of the city in the past and present, creating a modern variety full of suggestions.
