By train to Pietrelcina 2017 includes departures of tourist trains to discover Pietrelcina and the sacred places of Padre Pio.
From 23 September 2017, the joint initiative of the FS Foundation and the Campania Region began, which provides for the departure of historical trains for the discovery of Pietrelcina, the city that gave birth to San Pio.
On board the tourist train, which will leave from Naples or from Salerno and will also touch Benevento, Caserta and Avellino, will be paid tribute to travelers of a newspaper, a snack, a fruit juice or water.
How to buy a ticket
Rail tickets can be purchased through all Trenitalia channels: ticket offices and self-service at the station, website, Trenitalia app for smartphones and travel agencies enabled. It will also be possible to buy the ticket also on board the train, subject to availability of seats, without extra charge simply by contacting the Trenitalia staff in service.
Il ticket for the transfer by bus from the station to the center of the country has a cost of 1 euro per single journey and is available at the moment.
