An incredible journey through the bombardments of the Second World War in the war shelter of the Bourbon Tunnel

In this pre-Christmas weekend the cultural association NarteA will stage a fascinating traveling show in the evocative location of the Bourbon tunnel, Entitled We live, scheduled for the 22 December 2013 at 19: 00 and at 21: 00.

The spectators will live on their own skin the tragedy of the World War II in the city of Naples: the noise of the bombings, the fear of those who tried to leave their homes to find refuge elsewhere, the rubble that hindered the escape of the inhabitants of the city in every alley.

The only place where you can save yourself is the "womb" of Naples "below", in the tuffaceous cavities used as anti-aircraft shelters. The Bourbon tunnelindeed, it is still today a testimony of the presence of these underground war shelters, where the displaced Neapolitans spent days of cold, fear and resignation, but thanks to which they conquered salvation.

The need arose in them to create a new everyday life, to re-establish the dynamics of a "normal" life between the faint light of light bulbs that confused night with day, and the incessant sound of sirens. To still feel human, so as not to extinguish the hope of going back up, sooner or later, and shouting to the advocates of war: "We Live!".
