Research on the Quantum Internet

A great satisfaction for the University of Naples and for the same Angela Sara Cacciapuoti. The teacher has a degree in Telecommunications Engineering and currently teaches at the Federico II Department of Electrical Engineering and Information Technologies.

She specialized in the sectors Quantum Communications and Networks and Quantum Information Processing and is co-director of the research group in Quantum Internet.

The researcher was awarded for the studies carried out on the "Understanding the challenges and technological advances needed to build a Quantum Internet".

It is a frontier technology, which aims, from now on, to revolutionize the use of the internet, in some sectors such as that of ultra-secure communications, thanks to the applications of the principles of quantum mechanics.
