An evocative video installation by Franz Cerami inspired by the symbols of Naples to inaugurate the new artistic season.
Thursday September 21 2017 il Mother Museum of Naples, the museum of contemporary art located in the heart of the city, will welcome a suggestive in its Cortile d'Onore environmental installation realized by Franz Cerami, by title "Eggs & Skulls-Madre 2017".
The work will inaugurate the new exhibition season of the museum and will be followed by a summer cocktail party to celebrate the end of summer together with the public.

The animation of video-mapping which will be held in the courtyard of the Madre Museum was commissioned by the museum as part of the "Itineraries of the Contemporary - Confronti" project and was conceived by the Neapolitan artist Franz Cerami, famous for its multimedia and digital works, precisely for the spaces of Palazzo Donnaregina.
The installation reworks, through the multimedia language, the different ones icons that evoke the history of contemporary art in Naples and Campania, as in a kaleidoscopic tale made of symbols, images, shapes and allegorical figures that will combine the spectators with their own roots. The Courtyard of the museum will then be animated by capuzzelle, horns, eggs, Vesuvi in eurtion, horses, anchors, depictions of San Gennaro and the siren Partenope, which will be "painted" and projected onto the architectural "canvas" represented by the internal façade of Palazzo Donnaregina.

After its presentation to the public on the evening of Thursday 21 September, the work of Franz Cerami will become part of the collection of the Madre, as part of the project "Per_forming a collection: for an archive of art in Campania".

The inaugural evening will continue, to parry from 22: 30, with a cocktail party to celebrate the end of summer e the beginning of the new exhibition season of the museum. To animate the evening up to 1 at night on dj-set by Carola Pisaturo with its mix of house, funk and techno, an open bar set up in the museum's Courtyards and the drink bar in the B'shop-Café area.
