An evocative guided tour of the Rione Terra, a jewel of the Campi Flegrei, which will end with a special aperitif
One of the most interesting visits to be made in the Phlegraean territory is certainly the one inside the Rione Terra of Pozzuoli, in which from a year the historic cathedral was reopened to the public, finally restored.
Thanks to the association ECOnote, it will be possible to participate in a guided tour to discover the history, images, gastronomy and culture of one of the jewels of the Phlegraean area. The appointment is for 19 April 2015, on a Sunday in which we will be able to deepen our knowledge of the historical and cultural aspects of the Rione Terra, closed to the public for over 50 years, and which recently is also the location of many cultural activities, such as outdoor evening concerts.
The place is left closed for several decades mainly due to the bradyseism that periodically, with more or less strong intensity, affects the whole area of Pozzuoli, but the first restoration works began in the 90s, gradually bringing to light the millenary history of the whole area.
The guided tour of Econote will lead us to the discovery of this story, starting on Sunday afternoon and ending in the evening with a special aperitif flanked to the visit of one photographic exhibition organized by the association itself.
Program of the visit to the Rione Terra
- 17:20 pm: gathering of the participants at the entrance of the Rione Terra in Pozzuoli with distribution of information material - The participation fees will be collected and the first general information on Pozzuoli and for the guided tour of the Rione Terra will be provided
- 17.30 pm: entrance to the Rione Terra and guided tour with Adele from the Nemea association
- 19.00: At the end of the visit, aperitif at the Gran Cafè Cannavacciuolo and viewing of the photographic exhibition "The places of Econote"
