VitignoItalia, the Wine Show, will be hosted at Castel dell'Ovo for three days full of tastings and workshops
VitignoItalia is an event entirely dedicated to wine which this year reaches its tenth edition and which, like every year, will be hosted by the halls of Castel dell'Ovo in Naples.
Also for the 2014 edition, there will be more than 200 wineries present who will propose their own wine specialties, confirming the importance of this event both for the south and for the whole country. In fact, VitignoItalia is certainly the most important wine event in Southern Italy at least.
In the days 8, 9 and 10 June a rich program of workshops, exhibitions and technical tastings will be followed by the three main ones sommelier associations, Ais, Fisar and European Sommelier, inside the Castle located on the seafront, an important tourist destination and Unesco heritage.
The event is also an excellent springboard for companies that are making their debut in the sector or who want to make themselves known abroad and who, through VitignoItalia, are able to find new distribution channels. Furthermore, it will be possible to taste gastronomic products of local excellences, such as Gragnano PGI Pasta or Levoni salami.
They will be present 35 wine business operators from Belgium, Brazil, Canada, Denmark, France, Japan, England, Mexico, Norway, Holland, Czech Republic, Singapore, USA
One of the novelties this year concerns the creation of the app "Smartwine", created by Creative Intuitions and designed by the Mediterranean Network.
It is a full service multilingual app Professional Qr-Code, geo-location of the cellars, e-commerce service that gives the possibility to buyers foreigners and visitors to the exhibition to decode the QR-Codes found on the stands of the companies with their smartphone and thus receive useful information on the wine and the company.

17.00 hours: the historical magazine Civiltà del Bere celebrates its 40 years and presents a unique tasting: Wines of the Renaissance, between classicism and innovation.
19.00 hours: Prize-giving and tasting of the competition of raw milk and hay cheeses. Wines combined.
