Vomero Night 2013 | Getting around: transport and roads closed to traffic

Metronapoli confirmed the nightly extension of the races for Vomero Notte. Here are which roads will be closed to traffic

After having illustrated the program of events for Vomero Notte 2013 , the second edition of the Notte Bianca del Vomero which will take place from Saturday 12 October at 18 pm until 3 am on Sunday 13 October , we provide you with information on how to reach the event, how to get around, parking and which streets will be closed to traffic.

Metropolitan and Funicular

Unfortunately, Metronapoli has not yet confirmed the late-night running of the Metro Line 1 and the Centrale and Chiaia funiculars . The metro and funiculars may observe their usual Saturday night closing times: 23:00 PM for the metro, 00:30 AM for the funicular. Therefore, the Vomero Notte staff recommends calling the Metronapoli call center at 800-56886 on the day of the event.

SECURITY UPDATE TRAINING

Metronapoli has confirmed the extension of the Line 1 metro and the Centrale and Chiaia funiculars until 3:00 a.m. on Sunday 13 October 2013. The last ride from Dante is 3:00 a.m .; the last ride from Piscinola is 2:30 a.m.

The car parks managed by Napolipark in Chiaiano and Frullone are also open until 3:00 a.m. , where you can leave your cars and travel by metro and funiculars.

Vanvitelli station will close early at 21:30 PM . Trains will run without stopping until the end of service. Passengers wishing to reach the central event area can get off at the nearby Medaglie d'Oro and Quattro Giornate stations.

Bus Anm

The ANM bus lines have arranged for the changes to their routes , which will observe the following changes:

• the 181 line, departing from Piazzale Tecchio, limits the route to the Collana Stadium along via Gemito, via Rossini, via Acitillo, via Ribera, via Gemito and its route;
• the C35, C36 and V1 lines are suspended with last travels useful at 16.00;
• the C44 line, departing from Piazza Leonardo along Via Suarez and Via Menzinger and not Viale Michelangelo;
• line 128 coming from via Aniello Falcone, runs the entire length of via Mattia Preti where for the occasion the direction of travel has been reversed in the section between via Scarlatti and via Cimarosa and then continues on its own path;
• line C41 limits the route to Piazza Medaglie d'Oro;
• the N3 line, coming from Piazza Muzii, runs along via Piscicelli via Cortese, via Capocci, via Niutta and piazza Muzii;
• line N7, coming from via Saverio Altamura, runs along via Simone Martini, via Jannelli, via Mariano Semmola and via Antonino D'Antona.

Lines 181, C31, C32, C33, 128 will be guaranteed until 00:00

The night lines N7 : Hospital Area-Vomero-Fuorigrotta, N3 : Vomero-Museum-Central Station-Brin; N2 : Fuorigrotta-Posillipo will run every 15/20 minutes, until 5:00 in the morning.

Roads closed to traffic

From 17:00 PM until the end of the event, traffic will be prohibited in the streets and squares of the Vomero and Arenella neighborhoods, within the perimeter delimited by the following roads:

via Giotto, piazza Medaglie d'Oro lower hemicycle, via G. Menzinger, via E. Suarez, piazza Leonardo, ascent Cacciottolì, viale Raffaello, via G. Donito, via T. Angelini, via Pedamentina, via Vianelli, via F. Palizzi , violet Cimarosa, via D. Cimarosa, piazza Fuga, via A. Vaccaro, via M. Preti, via F. Cilea, via V. Gemito, piazza 4 Giornate, via Don Luigi Sturzo, via Arenella, viale S. Anna, via GB Ruppolo, Via Giotto.

From 8:00 am on 12 October 2013 until the end of the needs on 13 October 2013 , a parking ban with forced removal will be in place on the following streets:

via D'Annibale, piazza Fanzago, via Alvino, via Tito Angelini (between via Caccavello and piazzale San Martino); piazza degli Artisti to allow the setting up of PMA (Advanced Medical Post).

Changes to the direction of travel on some roads are also planned , and can be found on the Naples City Council website.
